CLA, what is it, does it work, should you use it, do you need it? Many questions for sure, about CLA. CLA stands for conjugated linoleic acid as some of you already know and surely, those of you that came here looking for information on CLA, already know a few things.
There are clinical trials, studies, videos and articles on CLA so there is quite a lot of information. Information or knowledge is very important and CLA is one of the most studied and tested ingredients used for weight loss. There are many ingredients out there that don't have research on them, that aren't clinically tested so you just don't know if they work or not so at the very least with CLA you know what to expect before using it. CLA Safflower Oil is known for burning fat but actually it has other benefits as well, it is a mix of various fatty acids with a chemical bond or structure similar to linoleic acid, thus the name. It may help with reducing tumors, it may help with cognition and cognitive decline, with muscle preservation maybe even muscle growth, etc. However you may want to learn more about it before you start looking for it in foods and supplements. First of all, if you're interested in its fat burning effects, right away you must direct your eyes on supplements. Why? Because you need roughly about 3-4 grams each day, of conjugated linoleic acid, to notice its fat burning properties or to notice any difference otherwise it is not very effective. Even then, as you can imagine, you would need to exercise and be on a healthy diet in order to get very good results, simply because there's no such thing as a magical drug and as good as CLA can be, there's nothing out there, including CLA, that can make up for an unhealthy lifestyle and unhealthy habits. CLA can be found in foods, mainly meat and dairy products. The best choices are grass fed beef from cattle and grass fed cow's milk, these have the most CLA found naturally in foods but it's not enough still to burn fat with. Again, you have to look at supplementation and not food. You may have heard rumors about it helping reduce certain cancers as I've said and reducing fat but the best results that it had were on rats, on humans it's quite different. CLA is very contradictory and has conflicting and unreliable results and is itself unreliable. Some studies or trials show that it can offer benefits for health and fat burning, others show that it can't. It's how it is, wether you look at new or old studies, unfortunately I can't tell you for certain that yes, CLA will help you. Not only is it unreliable but as is the case with really, most dietary supplements, they rarely work the same for different individuals.
